We like Newsweek. We’re Newsweek fans. But perhaps we may have gone a different direction with this cover story. (The inside illustration isn’t so hot either.)

I mean, if they are thinking about maybe not being a parody of themselves.

A cover story about the 50th birthday of someone who died in 1997? Written by Tina herself, and teased above the logo as well? And that’s just the story choice; the cover pic is a train wreck, obvi.

Once again: the name “News” “week” implies that you cover this week’s news. Or does Tina think there’s not much going on these days worth covering other than dead British royals?

I can’t even believe how stupid and hilarious this is. TINA BROWN MADE HER PRINCESS DI FANFIC THE COVER STORY. I am going to pitch Newsweek a piece on how I hung out with Indiana Jones and now we’re friends, in my imagination.
